A Typical Day

An opportunity for educators to talk to parents.  Children may join other classrooms. Also an opportunity for basic hygiene.

Develops cognitive, social and fine motor skills; promotes speech and language development through cooperation.

To promote good hygiene practices and own choices.  Refer to meal plan page for sample morning snack menu.

Provides choices to children. Promotes cooperation, independence, critical thinking and team-building skills.  Weather depending, may be inside free time.

Promotes cooperation and fosters healthy eating habits and well-being.

To assist children in life skills, encouraging moral development (responsibility) and social development (respect for others and self.)

Provides choices to children. Promotes cooperation, independence, critical thinking and team-building skills.

Helps to prepare children for kindergarten and develops pre-writing skills.

Develops turn-taking, literacy skills and social time for fun while learning.

Promotes cooperation and fosters healthy eating habits and well-being.

Promotes many opportunities for cooperation, independent choice and understanding of daily routines; to enhance listening skills.

This time includes basic hygiene.  It is also an opportunity to speak with parents.  Children may join other classrooms.
